This too shall pass

Today this quote means a lot to me. I feel like this week I took a lot of hard punches. I came across this quote today after taking yet another blow. The first thought that came to my mind is something that my mom says all of the time, “This too shall pass.”

Whatever is going on will not last forever. We always make it to the other side of whatever obstacle we are going through. Each day you wake up and you have another chance. Another chance to make things right, and try again.

I know it seems hard now, but remember that it wont last forever. When good happens you want it to last forever but it sometimes doesn’t. When bad happens it seems like it never goes away, right? Right!  How ironic is that?

So I think about it this way. When the good times go away it seems like the obstacles are present right? True! But you must remember that the bad times wont last forever. So what that means is, the sun will shine again, and things will be all good again.

So I will leave you with the lyrics to, “Tomorrow,” from the movie “Annie.” Let this song marinate in your mind and remember that the tough times don’t last forever, Make your tomorrow better than today.
