Just stop what you are doing to yourself!

I bet you are wondering what the hell I am talking about right? This is what I am talking about. Stop forgetting about yourself. Stop putting yourself last and put yourself first. Yeah yeah I get it, you want to help everybody else. And that’s cool, that’s great, you should be there for the people around you.

But Let me ask you this. Do you realize that while you help everyone else you forget about yourself and you are falling apart? It’s called balance. Be there for them but be there for yourself first.

Do you want to know what annoys me? People who tell people that they are selfish for putting themselves first.

Yes there is going to be someone that says something like, “But that is so selfish to think about yourself.” The thing about that statement is that I never said forget about them. I simply said put YOU first and don’t forget to take care of yourself.

“It’s not selfish to think about yourself. Its necessary! Thinking about only yourself is selfish.”

And I say that right there for this right here. How in the hell can you help anyone else if you are not together? If you are falling apart? The short simple answer is, YOU CAN’T. Why not? Because your not helping them from a sincere place, you’re helping them because of their NEED of you.

Not saying that you don’t want to help. But I am saying that you need to help yourself first. If people don’t understand that, then it’s time to make change.

Yup! You go before that damn job as well. You have to take care of yourself first. Because guess what, if something happens to you, they will replace you then move on as if you were never there. If you are a great asset, that job will understand what you need to do. If they don’t then it’s time to go. A JOB is not worth your health and may be a part of your problem. Your CAREER will still be there. Know the difference!

So the moral of the story is: PUT YOURSELF FIRST! Even if that means losing people and things. Don’t forget about you! If putting yourself first means you are being selfish then be selfish!
